Hello everyone! Today marks day one of our very first Halloween Link Party and a simple Halloween craft that your kids will love.
materials
- paper-based egg carton {don’t use styrofoam…the paint won’t adhere as well}
- scissors
- paintbrush
- red, green, blue, brown, and black acrylic paint {you could also use tempera, but its prone to crack}
- optional: glow-in-the-dark paint {for special effects}
directions
- Cut egg carton into pairs. Trim off excess to make it more eyeball-shaped.
- Paint the whole egg carton white. {if you add the glow-in the dark paint, do it after the white dries}
- Paint the center for the pupil black.
- Paint the iris your choice of colors: blue, brown, green, hazel, etc.
- Add red squiggly lines for a bloodshot effect.
- Place in random places all over your home {bookcases, cabinets, etc.}.
