When I taught first and second grade, a portion of our literacy block was dedicated to increasing fluency. My team leader loved that I used songs and poems to increase my students’ fluency rates. We used these printable sheets to find sight words and word family words! By the end of the school year, my students has amassed a huge collection of poems and songs.
