It’s just a few short weeks until Valentine’s Day! We created a simple Valentine’s art project that also incorporates friendly letter writing. This is a perfect addition for your classroom parties and homeschool celebrations of Valentine’s Day!
These adorable chair backers make a perfect activity for a writing center, because we have also included a friendly letter template with a heart border. Felt chair backers are pricey, so we made a printable version that is doable for all classrooms and homeschools!
- hole punch
- ribbon or yarn
- coloring tools

1.) On the front, have students write their home address and a fake address for Cupid.
2.) Have students line up the papers, and hole punch all the hearts along the edges.
3.) Lace the three side of the front and back together.
4.) Create a loop so the envelope can hang on the back of their chair.
5.) Have students use the provided clip art to color and cut. Alternatively, students can freehand their own images.
