Spring Literacy Bulletin Board

This morning, I noticed my plants sprouting through the snow. I can hardly wait for spring to arrive! To gear up for it, I created a raining spring word wall complete with 37 different raining spring words. This would make a great interactive bulletin board display or literacy station. Simply add velcro to the back of the word wall cards! Your students can access those tricky spring words during writers’ workshop.

Also, I included a free printable umbrella template for you to make your own spring word wall!

Depending on the bulletin board space you have available, the free printable umbrella template can be enlarged two different ways:

  1. with a smartboard
  2. with a projector

Also the raindrop template comes in two sizes, small for the 2″ by 2″ cards or large for the 4″ by 4″ cards. The size 2″ images below are part of our Spring Word Wall Pack.

Instantly download the free printable umbrella template here.

All of our free printables are for personal/classroom use only.  If you want to feature this activity on your blog, please link to the post, and NOT to the PDF, thanks!

  • We have a Spring Vocabulary Flip Book that coordinates with the word wall. Simply trace, cut, and color!
  • We also have a Spring Making Words No prep pack! Perfect for differentiation.

Meet the Teachers

Meet the Teachers

Back when we were both teaching, we dreamed of a website that would make lesson planning easier. We both remember late nights scouring search engine for unit ideas. After searching 1000s of blogs and sites, nothing was exactly meeting our vision: creative resources for the overworked teacher or homeschooler! So…this was born.
