Easter Egg Sight Word Hunt with Free Printable

With Easter quickly approaching, we created a fun and of course, educational sight word game for your homeschools and classrooms: an Easter Egg Sight Word Hunt! Using the printable below, simply fill your easter eggs with sight words, and send the students off to hunt for them.

This is a perfect activity for this time of year, as we all know how anxious and wiggly our little ones are with warmer weather blooming.  Plus, movement and fresh air are necessary for building students’ brain power and teacher sanity.

I printed out a second worksheet for my son to cross off or circle the words as he discovered them. It was a bonus that he wrote out the sight words he found in chalk!

  • plastic easter eggs
  • sight word egg filler printables (classroom/personal use only)
  • clipboards
  • sight word scavenger hunt sheet
** make multiple copies if need be, depending on class/homeschool size

1.) Fill eggs.

2.) Hide eggs.

3.) Enjoy as your kids burn off energy and hunt for sight words!

Besides using them to trail away from your child’s Easter basket use them to start an Easter egg scavenger hunt or lead them to an Easter egg sight word hunt. […]

Meet the Teachers

Meet the Teachers

Back when we were both teaching, we dreamed of a website that would make lesson planning easier. We both remember late nights scouring search engine for unit ideas. After searching 1000s of blogs and sites, nothing was exactly meeting our vision: creative resources for the overworked teacher or homeschooler! So…this was born.
