Whether you homeschool or have a classroom of 30, educators amass a lot of stuff! Our classrooms need to have systems to run smoothly! Without decent classroom storage, there is chaos. Problem being, storage can get pricey. So, armed with a few materials, you can customize your storage boxes to match your classrooms and homes without breaking the bank. How about ten boxes for about ten dollars? (One of the office supply stores near me had these boxes on sale this week!)
I posted a pic of some of my storage in our homeschool on instagram, and inquiring minds wanted to know…so here’s the secret!
Bankers boxes. Yes, homely and plain bankers boxes. You can pick them up almost anywhere-Costco, Target, Office Max, or Staples. I painted them, because bankers boxes are plain!
You just need a little paint and time. I’ve even spray painted these. You could even cover them in contact paper, duct tape, or fabric. Work quickly and apply a thin with the paint, because you are painting cardboard. The bin labels are our center labels.
Hope this inexpensive and fun idea helps you organize your classrooms and homeschools!
